We ordered the Italian beef sandwich and Chicago style hot dog. I enjoyed both while my wife liked the hot dog better. Pretty simple. Order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. Grab a table and enjoy. We were there on a Friday and no line.
Came to Chicago last year and now I'm back again for the Italian Beef Sandwiches after a Lions victory. Glad we found Lukes. The Italian Beef was juicy and full of flavor. After eating the sandwich, I also ordered their Chicago Hot Dog.
Lukes Italian Beef is a great place to get food while visiting Chicago. There is a vairrty of items you can get here at Luke's such as pizza, a Chicago style hot dog or Italian Beef sandwich. I got the Italian beef and it was delicious. The beef is so tender and juicy. The fries are also very good here. The guy that took my order was awesome. I'll be back next time I visit Chicago. I highly recommend this place.
Great option so close to union station! I hit this spot on my way to the airport, and after my trip on the route home. I’ve had beef all over Chicago and Lukes has some amazing competition, but delivered solid results each time. My colleague grabbed pizza and said it was fantastic.
My favorite spot when I’m downtown working for a Chicago style meal the fries are a meal in itself, there’s only one size and it’s enough to share. I either get a Italian beef or hotdog both are noteworthy

Since I had another stop in hicago, I wanted to try a Chicago-style hot dog, and Luke's was close to Union Station. Service was fast (as in, dog was on the counter by the time I'd finished paying). The hot dog was delicious, with lots of flavor and textures. Cost wasn't too bad, but I didn't order anything but the dog. Decor was a bit shabby and the "don't put bags on the back of your chair because they could be stolen" sign didn't exactly thrill me, but it is Chicago.
This was my first time to Luke's and the Italian Beef was superb. When I asked for it well dipped they followed through. The beef was tender and succulent. The large italian beef in the restaurant is a cool decoration.
